I grew up in Guayama, Puerto Rico. At the age of 16, I was accepted to the University of Puerto Rico, where I majored in English literature and minored in French. After graduating with BA I moved to NY, working at Alexander’s . In 1972 I got offered a job with the Narcotic Addiction Control commission for the State of New York. It was a drug addiction revolving door. I left, got myself a scholarship to go to graduate school. I got my MSed and the rest is history.
I’m fluent in English, Spanish and French. I’m tech savvy having had my first website in 1990. I also write grants for private institution.
